New Products

Here is a selection of the latest additions to our huge range of beautiful bathroom products.

Basins

Your basin forms a natural centre piece in your bathroom and it will see plenty of use - so quality is as important as design. There are many practical and beautiful basins available. From the family friendly Posh range to the innovative and designer Alape collection, it is well worth taking the time to consider your ideal basin.

Elevated beyond the functional, hand basins today have become modern works of art - often crafted from glass, vitreous china, stainless steel or pressed steel. Basins usually come with one, three or no tap holes depending on whether they are designed for use with a mixer, standard taps or wall mounted/bench mounted taps. So be sure to check that the basin you want accommodates your choice of tap or mixer.read more

Above Counter
A basin that sits on a "counter" - which can be anything from a stainless steel bench to a designer cabinet.

Semi Recessed Basin
A basin partly enclosed within a bench top with the front section protruding beyond the bench area.

Wall Mounted
A basin that is mounted to the wall with brackets, usually without a surrounding vanity. Ideal for use within limited spaces.

Vanity Basin
A basin completely enclosed within a bench top. Also known as a drop in basin or self rimming basin.

Under Counter Basin
A basin that sits underneath the bench allowing for a flush bench top.

Other Considerations - Many basins nowadays come with an ‘overflow’ - an outlet point located just under the lip of a basin. Overflows prevent the basin from overflowing if the tap is left running, thereby acting as a great feature for busy families and curious children.

If you have chosen a wall mounted basin design, don’t let the plumbing underneath spoil the designer statement your basin makes. Chrome plated bottle traps are the solution for making plain old plumbing stamp its own mark on the bathroom.

Terminology

Shroud - A shroud is a cover, usually made of vitreous china, installed under a wall-mounted basin to conceal exposed piping. This does not extend to the floor.

Pedestal - This is a "shroud" that extends to the floor from the underside of the basin.

Overflow - An outlet point located just under the lip of a basin. It prevents the basin from overflowing if the tap is left running. see less
