Hot water rebates are running hot

Let’s face it, the hot water unit really is the heart of the bathroom, the engine, the vital piece of the bathroom that powers the water we cherish. Can you imagine a bathroom without gloriously warm water for showers and baths?

Well, government hot water rebates are still available, with the aim of delivering more than 300,000 solar and heat pump rebates over the next three years.*

So, there has never been a better time to update our hot water units, with available rebates meaning we can replace our unit at a much reduced cost. Both solar systems and heat pumps are eligible for the Federal and State Government rebates, sometimes adding up to over $3500. Another key reason to replace your old hot water unit is that water heating is the largest single source of greenhouse gas emissions in homes and can account for 25% (or more) of an average household’s energy use.
