There’s Secretary’s Day (now called Administrative Professionals Day), Go Skateboarding Day, Lefthander’s Day and National Donut Day. Now there’s also National Air Conditioning Appreciation Day. (About time, we say.)

The American Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute wants the day to encourage homeowners to appreciate and care for air conditioners so they can save money and keep equipment operating smoothly throughout the summer. (Of course appreciating HVAC-R contractors and refrigeration mechanics will keep them operating smoothly as well.)
