SP22 Refrigerant Gas
Near azeotropic refrigerant

SP-22 is a chlorine free, drop-in refrigerant for R22 for a variety of applications. These include domestic air-conditioning and medium - low temperature refrigeration applications, residential air-conditioning, ductless air-conditioning, window air-conditioning and commercial air-conditioning SP-22 replaces R22 and R502, and has been formulated for high performance and acts as a near azeotropic refrigerant with glide around 1°. It’s compatible with all oils, and offers higher efficiencies and accelerated temperature pull-down.

If you’re replacing R22 with SP-22 you’ll need to replace the drier, if one is present in the existing system. The thermostatic expansion valve may require super heat adjustment or even changing, depending on the system. The system needs to be charged with 80% of the rated R22 charge, and it’s advisable to flush the system completely before charging with SP-22.
