Many are focused on tackling serious issues affecting men’s health.
These include:
Major Health Hazard
Being male can take years off your life.
The average Australian bloke now dies six years earlier than his wife.
Not that we’re suggesting a sex change, just a change of attitude. The trouble is men tend to bury feelings, drown their sorrows (rather than share them) and eat pies and a Big M for lunch.
Being male is a hazard, although it doesn’t feel that way. After all, plumbing is a good life. You’re outdoors. It’s physical. You’re not stressing out behind a computer all day. But plumbers, like other men, have health risks. Obesity’s on the rise. Prostate cancer, heart disease, stroke and diabetes are all increasing.
But those conditions can be prevented or are treatable if detected early. Make time for check-ups. Consider your lifestyle. Exercise. Think about your diet.
And get back the years being male can take off.
