The inspiration behind Bathroom Life Rosebery at Engine Yards

Reece Bathroom Life is entering a new chapter, with a first-of-its-kind showroom at heritage-listed Rosebery Engine Yards in Sydney’s Inner South.

The precinct has quickly emerged as a design-forward destination for premium retail brands, and as we get set to open the doors, we’re sharing the thinking and inspiration behind our beautiful new space that will live among them.

Bathrooms are more than just a functional space; they can be a sanctuary – a room where we renew ourselves each day. Our new showroom was designed from the ground up to inspire and support you on the planning journey to realising your space. A place where ideas take shape, evolve and ultimately come to life.

Creativity isn’t linear; it needs room for experimentation and exploration. Our new design-led experience has been curated to support and elevate your bathroom design process every step of the way. From displays inspired by the latest in global design that feel relevant for Australian homes, through to tactile, interactive studios where materials, colours and products can be thoughtfully paired; accompanied by the guidance of our expert consultants to help you make decisions with confidence.

Working in collaboration with leading voices in retail experiences and design, the entire experience has been refined to reflect and enhance the way you plan and create. Dan Cooper and Jason Pollard from award winning Sydney based design consultancy Public Design Group worked as an extension of Reece, helping to achieve this vision.

“The Reece brand differentiates though expertise in bathroom product and design, delivered by their consultants. This new showroom will elevate that difference… bringing together human expertise, tactile product experiences and expert design guidance.”

Designed as an immersive experience, Bathroom Life Rosebery’s aesthetic was shaped through consultation with Rowan Lodge, whose work spans some of the world’s most design‑conscious brands.

“For the Rosebery showroom, we drew inspiration from global fashion trends, art movements and colour forecasting, where materiality, tone and texture lead the conversation. Layered finishes and a confident use of colour create a curated, directional environment that feels both globally relevant and distinctly local, inspiring customers and helping them visualise global trends in their own homes.”
