Australian Made Week with Reece Bathrooms

Discover how Reece Bathrooms supports Australian design and manufacturing through partnerships with local makers including Sussex, Zuster, Robert Gordon, and Faucet Strommen.

Australian Made Week is a celebration of local creativity, craftsmanship and the makers shaping the way Australians live. For Reece Bathrooms, it’s also an opportunity to recognise the long-standing partnerships behind many of the products found in homes across the country - brands that continue to design, manufacture and innovate locally.

From tapware and furniture to handcrafted ceramics, Reece Bathrooms proudly partners with Australian manufacturers and designers who share a commitment to quality, longevity and considered design. Together, these collaborations reflect a belief that locally made products carry something more - a connection to people, place and process.

Sussex

Melbourne manufacturer Sussex have become known for pushing local manufacturing forward with innovation and responsibility at its core. As the world’s first carbon neutral tapware manufacturer, Sussex produces its collections locally using recycled brass, combining progressive manufacturing with timeless Australian design. The latest release – Sussex Scala Nova tapware range – has introduced the next evolution of the 28 year old range, evolving with an architectural edge afforded by the industrial knurled accents.

Zuster

For more than 30 years, Zuster has built a reputation for bespoke furniture that balances artistry with functionality. Founded by sisters Wilhelmina McCarroll and Fleur Sibbel, the Melbourne-based studio - whose name means “sister” in Dutch - draws on five generations of craftsmanship to create pieces defined by materiality, detail and longevity.

Through the ISSY Adorn, Cloud, Halo, and Blossom collections, Reece Bathrooms partners with Zuster to bring locally handcrafted furniture into the bathroom space. Designed, manufactured, assembled and finished onsite in Melbourne using locally sourced materials, each piece reflects a distinctly Australian approach to design - warm, tactile and deeply considered.

Robert Gordon

That same sense of heritage and craftsmanship is reflected in Australian household favourite, Robert Gordon, the iconic Victorian ceramics maker that has been creating handcrafted pieces for generations. Known for its rich history and enduring connection to Australian pottery, Robert Gordon continues to celebrate the beauty of handmade design through every piece produced in its Pakenham workshop – the latest collaboration with Reece, a series of handmade basins called the ‘Potters Collection’.

Faucet Strommen

In regional Victoria, Faucet Strommen has spent decades refining the art of Australian made tapware. Founded in 1999, the family-owned business is guided by values of integrity, craftsmanship and responsibility, with every piece designed, engineered and hand-finished locally in Kerang, Victoria. From machining and polishing through to assembly, the entire process takes place under one roof - a hands-on approach that reflects the care behind every detail.

This commitment continues with the latest launch of the Vara tapware collection, created in collaboration with Reece Bathrooms. Thoughtfully crafted close to home, the collection brings together contemporary design with the enduring quality that has become synonymous with Faucet Strommen.

While Australian Made Week shines a spotlight on local makers for one week, our support of Australian design and manufacturing extends far beyond the calendar moment. Through partnerships with brands that value craftsmanship, innovation and thoughtful design, Reece continues to champion products made with care – and made close to home.
