A fan of the roaring twenties? Prefer the rock n’ roll of the fifties? Perhaps the grit and triumph of the forties is more your thing.
This year, The Block has it all, transforming five houses with trends borrowed from five different eras. The bathrooms will also be inspired by the iconic decades, using Reece Bathrooms products to create bathrooms that are packed full of timeless quality.
With more twists and turns than ever before, this season’s 10 Blockheads will renovate what was previously the Andrina Nursing Home in Brighton, Melbourne. Check out the trailer and meet the new contestants.
Meet This Year's Contestants
Harry & Tash
Ages: 57 and 32
Professions: IT Manager and Social Media Project Manager
From: Melbourne
Father-daughter duo Harry and Tash are making this year’s Block a family affair.
Harry isn’t afraid to get on the tools while Tash’s project management skills will come in handy. Can this couple be the first ever father-daughter contenders to take out the win? Time will tell.
Sarah & George
Age: 27 and 33
Professions: Teacher and Electrician
From: Sydney
Sarah and George are the Western Sydney powerhouse ready to take on The Block.
This team are no strangers to the renovation game. As newlyweds, the couple had to rebuild their investment property that was trashed by tenants. An omen for what was to come, the experience has them ready for The Block 2020.
Daniel & Jade
Age: 35 and 34
Professions: Farmer and Hairdresser
From: South Australia
Blockheads through and through, Danial and Jade have finally made it. After years of applying, this couple are ecstatic to be 2020 contestants.
Dan is no stranger to the tools having completed his carpentry trade as a teenager and now using it on the farm. Jade’s keen eye for design might just be their secret weapon. Can Dan and Jade take it all the way?
Luke & Jasmine
Age: 35 and 36
Professions: Chippy and Teacher
From: West Australia
The pressure of The Block is welcomed by parents Luke and Jasmine.
Renovations seem to go hand in hand with pregnancies for this WA couple. With two kids under the age of four, a renovation in the works and a place on The Block 2020, this team are certainly up for the challenge. Can this multitasking team pull it off on auction day?
Jimmy & Tam
Age: 33 and 31
Professions: Plumber and Bar manager
From: Brisbane
Brisbane battlers Jimmy and Tam knows what it means to work hard.
While Tam can’t tell the difference between a spanner and a hammer, plumber Jimmy certainly knows his way around a worksite. With a dream to enter the property market, this determined couple have set their eyes on the prize.
