What constitutes essential work during ACT's Lockdown?

What you need to know right now

The ACT Government recently announced an extension to the current lockdown restrictions until September 2, due to increasing COVID-19 case detections.

During this time, you have an important role to play in keeping the community healthy, safe and well through the essential work you do.

Any construction or maintenance work on essential infrastructure and services which are required to be maintained in order to protect the health and safety of the community is considered essential.

This can include but is not limited to any essential:

  • Emergency plumbing
  • Plumbing maintenance
  • Sewer or stormwater maintenance
  • Gas leaks
  • Gas heating / cooking repairs
  • Any roofing repairs that if not actioned immediately will cause damage to the property
  • Air-conditioning repairs involving plumbing infrastructure

Healthy habits remain - including contact tracing & masks.

We'll have hand sanitiser and masks available, social distancing in place and will follow strict COVID check-in protocols.
