Box Hill TAFE raises the bar for training in HVAC-R
24 September 2015Are you looking to take the next step in your HVAC-R career, or help your workers push the boundaries of the industry? Well, now’s your chance.
Box Hill TAFE is setting new standards in the training of HVAC-R specialists, with the launch of its new training centre built exclusively for HVAC-R courses. The first of its kind in Australia, the Integrated Technology Hub (ITH), which is also home to the Refrigeration and Climate Control Centre of Excellence (RCCC), provides world-class facilities and collaborative and innovative learning spaces in a five star green star environmentally friendly building.
The training courses and facilities have been designed in conjunction with the Air Conditioning & Mechanical Contractors’ Association (AMCA), a nation-wide trade association serving companies that operate in the commercial and industrial sectors of the industry.
The ITH’s courses draw together industry trends and new technologies and integrate these across a variety of different trades. Students also learn about new technologies, environmental considerations, and regulatory changes across other industries.
The ITH offers a wealth of features ranging from state of the art audio-visual equipment, to infrastructure incorporating a number of mechanical systems that can be used as teaching tools for the students. The Centre has built a modular training system called Professional Organisational Development (POD), offering an innovative and flexible way to deliver training. And, indoor/outdoor interactive spaces are also set up for staff and students, designed to stimulate creative ideas.
All this means that it’s never been easier to take your first steps into the world of HVAC-R, or to keep your skill set current and industry compliant.
