It’s time to get a little smarter.

Smart Irrigation Month is back this year as we continue to create awareness about outdoor water wastage. Our goal is to encourage Australians to practice efficient water use by being smarter when watering gardens or lawns.

Australian’s are the biggest water users per capita on the planet – a pretty confronting statistic given we live on the driest populated continent on earth.

Using water efficient products and practices to suit the ever-changing requirement of the landscape is key. Smart Irrigation eliminates water waste, reduces costs and ultimately creates healthier landscapes.

New irrigation controllers that use weather readings to water gardens more efficiently are replacing conventional timer-based systems. Controllers such as the Weathermatic range read humidity, rainfall, heat and solar radiation data so the landscape receives the correct amount of water it needs. This prevents homeowners from over-watering their gardens, reducing water wastage and creating healthier landscapes.

By positioning yourself as a Smart Irrigation expert, you can take your business to the next level and look to the future with confidence.

Smart irrigation gets water-wise with the intelligent Skydrop system

We are excited to launch Skydrop, the very latest in intelligent, smart controlled watering systems. Skydrop will save your customers money on their water bill by cutting their water usage by up to 50 per cent, whilst keeping their lawn and garden in top condition.

Operating via Wi-Fi connection, Skydrop allows the user to easily set up zones and manage sprinklers by smartphone, desktop or tablet. Using the intuitive, smart watering system, Skydrop can control up to sixteen zones at any one time, with settings for soil type, plant type and sprinkler type, plus shade,
slope angle and more.

The system allows customised settings to water by zone, adjusting watering frequency and duration to respond to each zone’s specific conditions. Real-time data, drawn directly from up to 2000 weather stations across Australia, helps to intelligently forecast exactly when to water. Now that is smart technology.

A great product to introduce to your customers so they can stop worrying if they’re watering their garden or lawn correctly!

A couple of fast facts...

Over 94,000 litres of water could be wasted in one six-month season by having just one broken sprinkler head.

Plants and trees enrich work environments. In fact, it was found that those working in these types of environments become 17% more productive that those in bare spaces without trees and plants.
