2016 Beautifully Smart Gardens Competition

Terms and Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the 2016 Beautifully Smart Gardens Competition shall be deemed an acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  2. Entry to the Competition is free and only open to Australian residents who are Reece Account Customers during the period of the Competition. Employees and immediate families of Reece Pty Ltd (ABN 84 004 097 090, 118 Burwood Highway, Burwood, Victoria 3125, alternatively by telephone on 03 9274 0000) (Reece), associated companies and agencies are ineligible to enter the Competition.

  3. The Competition commences on 1 November 2016 at 9am AEST and entries close on 30 November 2016 at 5pm AEDT (entry period). Any entries submitted after the entry period will not be considered.

  4. Entry is online. To enter, participants must complete an entry form, and submit their Smart Irrigation garden explanation (in 100 words or less) on the online entry box along with their name, telephone number and Reece customer account number, and select the 'submit' button. Entry forms are available on the Reece website (www.reece.com.au/smart-gardens). Entrants acknowledge that their entry online is only received by Reece once they have received a 'confirmation message'.

  5. Entrants are required to submit at least one photograph with their Competition entry. A maximum of 5 images can be uploaded. The photographs will not be returned to the entrant. Each entrant warrants that they are the author of the story that they submit, that they have the authority to submit the photographs for the purpose of the Competition and that they have the right to grant Reece permission to use the story and the photographs as contemplated by these terms and conditions.

  6. The grand prize and runner up prize winners will be determined on 14 December 2016 by Reece's Irrigation Business Development Manager and three additional panel members. The entries will be judged on the basis of the entry's originality, how the garden looks and the ability to explain how smart irrigation products and ideas have been incorporated into the garden to make it water efficient.

  7. The grand prize is a R80Li Gardena Robotic Lawn Mower (grand prize). The runner up prize is Apple iPad (runner up prize). The second runner up (second runner up prize) is Rinnai Tabletop 1 burner BBQ. The grand prize and runner up winners will be confirmed on 16 December 2016 as decided by a panel of three panel members and Reece's Irrigation Business Development Manager. All winners will be notified on or before 21 December 2016 by their Branch Manager by telephone and their name will be published in the February 2016 edition of the Outlet Newsletter. Winning entries will also be displayed on the Promoter's website.

  8. The prizes will be paid to the winners by crossed cheque. The prizes will be paid to the winners before 15 January 2017.

  9. If the grand prize is unclaimed by 4 March 2017, the runner up winner as selected by the judging panel will win the grand prize. If the runner up prize is unclaimed by 4 March 2017, the second runner up as selected by the judging panel will win the runner up prize. If the second runner up prize is unclaimed by 4 March 2017, the Irrigation Business Development manager will select an entry (not including the grand prize winner and runner up winner) entry's originality, how the garden looks and the ability to explain how smart irrigation products and ideas have been incorporated into the garden to make it water efficient. This entrant will win the unclaimed second runner up prize. The unclaimed prize winner will be notified by their Branch Manager by telephone within 2 days of being selected as an unclaimed prize winner.

  10. All entries become the property of Reece. The entries may be entered into a database for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. Each entrant grants Reece the right to reproduce, publish, perform, communicate, adapt or otherwise use stories and photographs used to enter the Competition at any time in the future for any purpose (including commercial purposes) free of any charge.

  11. Reece accepts no responsibility for late, lost, misplaced or misdirected entries.

  12. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Reece will not be liable for any failure to enter a qualifying person into the Competition where such a failure arises out of any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Reece's control).

  13. Reece is not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered, including but not limited to direct or consequential loss, or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prizes.

  14. Reece, agencies and companies associated with this Competition will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.

  15. The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.

Privacy Statement

Any personal information provided by entrants is collected by Reece to conduct the Competition (including prize distribution and promotion), and to provide entrants with information about Reece's products and services. It may be disclosed to those involved in conducting the Competition or those that assist in providing information about Reece's services, such as mailing houses or marketing companies.
