Reliable cooling for remote mining sites with Kaden split systems

The Challenge

Persistent breakdowns of previously installed units from a leading manufacturer created significant challenges for the client. To address these issues, the project introduced Kaden air conditioning systems, specifically designed for the harsh Australian climate, aiming to reduce downtime and aftersales requirements in a remote mining region.

The Approach

A total of 112 Kaden KSI 3.5kW Split System Air Conditioners were installed across the mining site to ensure reliable cooling for critical facilities. Kaden was chosen for its proven performance in extreme conditions—central South Australia experiences mean maximum temperatures of 39.2°C in January.

The client, Compass Group, trusted Kaden based on previous successful installations and a strong relationship with their local branch. Leveraging the Reece Group’s extensive branch and warehouse network, the team delivered a large volume of units at short notice—while other brands faced stock shortages. This network also guarantees rapid access to spare parts and accessories, with critical spares held on-site.

To further support the installation, custom-built mounting frames were supplied, showcasing Reece’s commitment to tailored solutions and added value throughout the project.
